Designing homes since 2014, DUO I+D is a boutique interior design studio founded by two industry veterans, John & Cherie. With over 25 years of experience and passion in creating beautiful homes, they experts in creating more spaces, improving space efficiency and the overall aesthetics with colours, lighting, textures and patterns.
For the team at Duo I+D, each project is unique in its needs and qualities as every client is unique in terms of lifestyle, preferences and interests. The goal of each project is to provide aesthetically pleasing but efficient solutions for better use of space that is reflective of the personality and lifestyle of the client.
Through detailed consultation, the team will unlock your home’s full potential, both aesthetically and practically. Taking care to strike a balance between the elements of colour, light, texture, pattern, space, form and line, which are all essential in providing continuity, comfort and functionality in interior design.
John Lim
Founder/Project Director
An interior design graduate from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, John has over 20 years of local and regional experience in both interior design and project management. He has worked on countless residential as well as commercial projects for brands like Frette, red earth, Molton Brown, Minoshe, just to name a few.
As a design-trained Project Director, he is well aware of the fine balance between design integrity, functionality, cost efficiency as well as timeline management. His key focus is to ensure that every client has a fuss-free and seamless experience.
John is an avid sportsman, participating in ultra-marathons, triathlons, and Ironman races, as he believes being active is not just about building up one’s physical strength, it can help sharpen mental alertness and resilience. This in turn will help him deliver his best to all his clients.
Cherie Goh
Co-Founder/Design Director
The brain-child behind the creative designs, Cherie believes that design is a balance between form and function. Having designed countless residential and commercial spaces, her strength lies on efficient space planning and her keen eye for design aesthetics using different colour hues, lighting, patterns and textures, to create stylish yet cosy and functional homes.
She believes that the focal point of any interior design should be the lifestyle and personality of the client. It gives her utmost satisfaction and happiness when she sees that she has made a difference in transforming the homes and improving their quality of life through her design and decoration.
Being a movie buff, she often gets her inspiration from the different genres of movies and dramas she watches; it could be a colour of a wall, a piece of furniture or the overall ambience of the movie.
